Training and information
From time to time, Critteraid presents or sponsors presentations and programs on various animal welfare topics.
These can be about:
Emergency First Aid for dogs and cats to teach people what steps to take before they get to the vet, with the materials they have at hand, when an injured animal is encountered.
Our CDART division has a number of training programs on Disaster Preparedness. Please check out the website at
www.cdart.org and contact our Training Coordinator for information about upcoming courses and seminars.
After a few absent years, Critteraid is in the process of reinstating our Secondary School Education Program. The curriculum includes one classroom session per month as well as on field trip per month. The program is geared for ages 13 to graduating students and involves the help of parents and relatives for transportation. Focusing on technical and responsible care of animals, students also learn about animal related careers in today's world, rescue organizations and the dilemma and miracles of animal welfare.
