A gift of time – turns into a love of a lifetime….

A success story looks like this:
Cheryl is a long time member, former board member and continuing volunteer of Critteraid. She is no stranger to giving of her time – she has cleaned at the Sanctuary, raised funds for the Mutt Strut, driven the tractor in the pasture, taken garbage to the dump, flogged pretzels and brats, sold at the garage sale and fostered many a dog who needed a little guidance, and litters of cute baby kittens. She is a woman with a heart of gold and a loving and giving nature.
In late 2007 she was volunteering her time with Critteraid to support the “Business Gives Back” charity event… she had no idea that this afternoon would be the catalyst for true love!
 In the true fashion of giving, she received in return a gift…the opportunity to meet a man who understands her nature, her passions and her choices to help those creatures who cannot help themselves. That day in November she met Del…and from there, they came to know and love each other…and this summer they will pledge their love in front of family and friends in a marriage ceremony.
There are two love stories that have their roots in this event…..are you looking for a feeling of contentment and satisfaction? Combine contributing to society and yourself while at the same time meeting new people who share your principles, values, and interests.
Critteraid needs volunteers to fill many roles….some are more time consuming than others, but they just might fill that need for you to give back, and if you are watching for it, maybe you will find a soul mate too!

Foster dogs or cats on a temporary basis? Raise newborn kittens and socialize them? Cleaning? Making crafts? Pasture maintenance? Handyman? Baking or selling of tasty goodies? Coat check shifts? Facilitate adoption of pets? Manage volunteers? Help in disasters?
There is a constant need for folks who are willing to give of their time to help Critteraid provide Sanctuary to the variety of animals in our care. If you can share the gift of time, the rewards are amazing, fulfilling and full of potential!
